Today on the blog we are going to share some of our favorite spring activities with you all!
Now, to start off, we aren’t the biggest fan of rain.
We are definitely sun people, as you all know, we love the beach!
However, spring is such a beautiful season! Flowers start to bloom, and the grass starts to turn green again!
We pretty much do everything together. Thank god we like the same things and agree on almost everything.
Some of our favorite activities in the spring time are…
Hiking; We love finding new places to hike. A lot of times, we will drive until we see a pretty area, and just keep walking until we find a trail. We LOVE to just walk for fun, we don’t set any goals or achievements, mostly because we find that it’s a lot more fun to just do our own thing and enjoy each others company.
Fishing: We love to go fishing. This is definitely something we wish we could do more, however, lately its been hard to get out to the lakes due to work and how busy its been in the bay area. Sometimes it takes us 4 hours just to get to our destination!!
We do plan on figuring out a few weekend getaways where we can spend the night and wake up early and go to a lake nearby and spend the whole day fishing.
Bike riding: We have a lot of trails around our neighborhood, but a lot of times, the roads are very narrow. Instead of riding on those trails we go out by the San Mateo bridge and ride our bikes by the water. It is so beautiful riding next to the Bay. You see boats in the water, and planes are coming down low ready for landing at SFO. This is another activity we wish we did more, and I think we will make it a goal of ours to get our there more often!
Picnic in the park: Well much like everyone, we love food! And there is nothing better then eating food at a beautiful park with your loved ones. Sometimes, if its warm enough we will have a picnic on the beach as well, but that gets a little to sandy!
One of our favorite places to have a picnic is in Foster City on E. Hillsdale Blvd. it is called Leo J. Ryan park, across the street from Safeway, there is a little water front that has tables, a grassy area, and a beautiful gazebo right on top of the water. The view is awesome and the people are always so friendly. We definitely recommend going there!
Thanks for living a day in the Life of Sawdey!
